Hi, Konnichiwa! 👋

My name is Itsumi. I’m just a Japanese girl from Osaka who loves being creative and sharing my culture with you.

In 2020, I moved to the U.S. without thinking too much about it, but after a while I started missing home, Japan, the culture, and even the little everyday things.

I’ve always been happy connecting with people who are curious about Japan, whether it’s the language, culture, food, everyday life, or simply the feeling of being there.

I also love being creative, so I combined those two things and created Studio Kokoro, where I make handmade Japanese gifts from my apartment.

But I kept asking myself, how can I connect with people even more over Japan?

That’s how Dear Japan Club started. 💌

By sending monthly letters filled with Japanese culture, stories, and little surprises, I feel like I can share more of Japan with you in a personal way. I have so much I want to share!

We live in such a noisy world and sometimes feel disconnected. When you open a letter from me, I hope you can step away from your phone for a little bit, enjoy learning about Japan, and feel a little closer to it wherever you are.

My goal is simple: to help people feel a little closer to Japan.

Arigatou for reading! ❤️
